From August 1th to October 15th, Yawagata-Kotsu runs one bus going to Okama everyday.
What is Okama?
Okama is a volcanic lake on the top of Mt.Zao and a good destination for visitors.
The bleak scenery of mountainous terrain is very impressive and shows the power of nature.

蔵王刈田岳・熊野岳・五色岳の3峰に抱かれた円型の火口湖で、釜状となっていることから「御釜」という名前がつきました。湖面はエメラルドグリーンの水をたたえ、荒々しい火口壁と対比して神秘的な雰囲気で冬の樹氷と共に蔵王の象徴となっています。

How to get to Okama?
By public transportation
The bus #Z91 leaves from JR Yamagata station #1 bus stop at 9:30 everyday and arrives in Zao Katta Sancho, the last bus stop, at about 11:09.
The returning bus #C2 leaves from Zao Katta Sancho at 13:00 and arrives in JR Yamagata station at about 14:41.
It costs 2,250 yen one way.
The bus is cancelled in the case that road is closed by whether condition.
