Rejoicing the 35th year of the airport, For the purpose of spreading the knowledge and interest for people of Yamagata prefecture, and widening the usage of the airport, the festival will be held during sky day of September 20th and sky weeks from 20th to 30th.
How to get there?
by Local bus via Mikawa Aeon Mall
Shonai kotsu runs local buses from Tsuruoka city and Sakata city to Mikawa Aeon Mall.
From JR Tsuruoka station, the buses suitable to the event start at 9:58 and 10:58 from #1 bus stop.
From JR Sakata station, the bus suitable to the event starts at 9:46.
After arriving at Mikawa Aeon Mall, please take a shuttle bus.
Shuttle buses are available from Mikawa Aeon Mall to the airport on the day.
They start every 10 minutes from 10:00 to 15:30 from the eastern parking lot.

Shonai kotsu runs limousine buses directly arriving at Shonai Airport from JR Tsuruoka station and JR Sakata station.
From JR Tsuruoka station, the bus suitable for the event starts at 10:44 and arrives at 11:10.
